WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE WILL REOPEN OUR DOORS FRIDAY MAY 1ST. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE ALL OUR PATIENTS AGAIN!
Please read the infomation below before coming to your next appointment.
Dear Rendon Orthodontic Family:
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
- Should you, your child, or a close family member have any flu-like symptoms (cough, runny nose, sore throat and/or fever), please call your physician, and then call us to reschedule your appointment. Likewise, if anyone in the family has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or knowingly exposed to anyone testing positive to COVID-19, please call to reschedule.
- For patients: please brush and floss your teeth before coming to your appointment. We are removing the disposable toothbrushes for now to minimize contamination via the toothbrushing station.
- Patients and parents are asked to wear a mask to the office.
- A Wellness Screening will be performed upon entry that will consist of taking the patient's temperature and answering a few health-related questions.
- All patients must complete a Supplemental Consent to Treat form before being seen.
- In an effort to reduce the number of people in the reception area, we ask that adult patients enter the office alone and only children and teens are to be accompanied by one adult. Once the consent form is signed, we recommend for you to wait in your car while the patient is treated. We can call or text you when the patient is done to give you an update and schedule your next visit.
- You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, coffee/water and we are shutting down our fun video games for now, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
- We have hand sanitizer in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
- Only patients are allowed in the clinic area, unless the doctor/staff requires the parent’s presence.
- We ask that our patients wash their hands in the brushing area when they come in and rinse 30 seconds with hydrogen peroxide.
- As you leave the office, please make sure you are set up to receive appointment reminders with us. This way we don't have to give you a written reminder at the office.
- We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
We look forward to welcoming back our patients and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice.
Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and will continue to work every day to provide the best and safest orthodontic care possible.
Dr. Juan Rendon, Dr. Maria Castano-Rendon and team.

Hello Rendon Orthodontics Family!
Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy! We are excited to announce that we have a “new tool” on our website that will help us serve better and stay more in contact with our patients. When you visit www.rendonorthodontics.com, patients can now do VIRTUAL APPOINTMENTS with Dr. Castano-Rendon or Dr. Rendon. You will find a blue icon on the lower right hand side that says “Start your virtual appointment”. Just click on it!
As an existing patient, you can use this tool to upload photos and ask our doctors any questions/concerns about your treatment or to let us know that you have an emergency. Our doctors or a staff member will reach out to you promptly with further instructions.
For new patients, you can start your consultation here!
Please remember… We continue rescheduling our patients for now. As of today, we should be able to return to the office to see patients on April 22nd, but will continue to monitor this everchanging situation and will keep you updated.
We are also trying to take all the calls during regular business hours, but if we missed you, please leave us a voicemail and one of our staff members will call you back.
You can also submit questions/concerns about your treatment or if you have an emergency (including photos) to our email: email@example.com.
For a real emergency – after hours, please call our emergency line (469-428-2398).
Looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Hello Rendon Orthodontics' patients and families,
We made the difficult decision to temporarily close our offices based on recommendations from dental associations, state/local governments, and in keeping with our commitment to the safety of our patients and staff teams. Per Governor Abbott we cannot re-open our doors until April 22nd and during this time, we can only see “emergencies”. This is in an effort to stop the spread of Covid-19 and to conserve personal protective equipment for healthcare providers that really need it. We will continue to monitor this everchanging situation and will keep you updated.
Rest assured that your orthodontic treatment is progressing at this time as the wires or Invisalign trays continue to work. You can help keep treatment on track by following your orthodontist’s instructions on wearing your elastics, appliances or Invisalign trays. Please do not eat hard or sticky foods to avoid breaking brackets and keep your teeth clean.
Our office is calling to reschedule all our patients. We are also trying to take all the calls during regular business hours, but if we missed you, please leave us a voicemail and one of our staff members will call you back.
If you have any questions/concerns about your treatment or have an emergency, please email us to firstname.lastname@example.org and send us a photo(s). Dr. Castano-Rendon, Dr. Rendon or one of our staff members will contact you as soon as possible.
For a real emergency – after hours, please call our emergency line (469-428-2398). Thank you for your understanding.

Dear Rendon Orthodontics’ parents and patients,
We wanted to reach out personally regarding the current situation with the novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19. Each day brings new developments and our hearts go out to all the affected.
At Rendon Orthodontics we are doing our part to keep safety a priority for everyone. You have placed your trust in us to oversee the oral health of you or your family member, and we take that job seriously. We want you to know we are doing our best to protect everyone from continuing viral spread of COVID-19.
We are monitoring directives that are issued to us by the cities of Frisco and Allen, the state of Texas and other national organizations including the dental society leadership as it evolves. We want to meet and exceed guidelines as we work with our patients.
What We Are Doing to Keep You Safe
Maintaining our current OSHA directives related to the dental industry standards for sterilization of dental instruments and cleaning and sanitizing hard surfaces used during appointments.
Our staff and doctors are washing their hands frequently and using hand sanitizer.
Hand sanitizer will be available for our patients/parents in the check in/out and clinic area.
Eliminating handshakes and any type of bodily contact that is not specifically related to your current appointment.
Minimizing all newly scheduled appointments which are reasonably possible into a 10-12-week schedule for as long as needed – current appointments remain scheduled.
Retainer checkups and Observation appointments will be rescheduled to a later date.
Asking patients to send photos of emergencies first, via email (email@example.com) so we can troubleshoot issues to determine if an appointment in the office is of immediate urgency.
Removing all magazines and shutting down our fun video games in our waiting room for now.
What You Can Do to Help Us During Appointments
Should you, your child, or a close family member have any flu-like symptoms (cough, runny nose, sore throat and/or fever), please call your physician, and then call us to reschedule your appointment.
To minimize the number of people in the office, we request parents only bring the patient being treated to the office and leave all siblings home. If this is not possible, consider having the family stay in the car while the patient is treated. We can call or text you when the patient is done to give you an update and schedule your next visit.
Only patients are allowed in the clinic area, unless the doctor/staff requires the parent’s presence.
We ask that our patients wash their hands in the brushing area when they come in and when they leave.
Any patient or family member(s) that have traveled to any countries with Level 3 or 4 Travel Restrictions (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories.html/ ) within 14 days of their scheduled visit will require rescheduling. In that event, please call our office to find a more appropriate time. Likewise, if anyone in the family has been knowingly exposed to anyone testing positive to COVID-19, please call to reschedule.
The team at Rendon Orthodontics appreciates your trust and will continue to work every day to provide the best and safest orthodontic care possible.
